Rental Details
Astronomy Acres LLC currently has two imaging telescopes available for nightly rental. The rental cost reserves the telescope and imaging equipment for the entire night. Each telescope will be programmed by the site manager based on your input of your target(s) for the night’s session and completed sub and calibration frames will be provided to you that morning. If weather or other problems prevent your reservation from being completed, you will be allowed to reserve another night.
Imaging equipment consists of a Planewave CDK 12.5” with Planewave focuser, QHY600 CMOS mono camera and filter wheel with LRGB, Ha, Oiii and Sii filters. The mount is a Planewave L350 mount. Imaging with this system is recommended to be done at 2×2 binning to best match seeing conditions and for file size management.
Price for entire night of imaging: $100
Imaging equipment consists of a with Celestron 9.25” Edge HD with Hyperstar, EAF focuser and QHY268C CMOS one shot color camera. The mount is Astro-Physics Mach2. Recommended exposure lengths are 2 – 5 minutes. A nebula enhancing filter can be added at your request to bring out Ha. With filter increase exposure time.
